Pignon Christian Academy

Educating the Next Generation of Leaders for Christ

Pignon Christian Academy opened its doors on September 18, 2023. Currently, the school serves students in Grades 1, 2 & 3 with plans for yearly expansion as the Lord provides. The administrative staff and teachers are credentialed educators and Pignon Christian Academy is accredited with the Department of Education in Haiti. Academic curriculum follows national standards while also integrating Biblical teaching and emphasizing an early introduction to language learning in order to provide students with a well-rounded educational foundation.

This current facility, pictured here, is designed with five classrooms and an administrative office space. Each classroom includes 900 sq ft of learning space and expansive windows to foster a healthy, student-focused learning environment. We are grateful to Job 29 Ministries, Inc. for funding the original building project.

Quality, Christian Education

Many families in Pignon, Haiti must choose between paying for their child's education or feeding their hungry families. Pignon Christian Academy exists to provide quality Christian education at an affordable cost that empowers families to invest in their child's education without sacrificing daily necessities.

At Pignon Christian Academy, our hearts are for our students... mind, soul, and body! In this impoverished community, most families average about one meal a day. The Lunch Program provides a much-needed, nutritionally balanced second meal. This has a direct impact on our students' ability to focus and learn in the classroom, thus increasing our effectiveness in educating the next generation of leaders for Christ!

Students and staff enjoy lunch made possible by donated food from Meals from the Heartland. Each prepackaged box contains rice, dried meat, and dried vegetables. Local ingredients are added to transform these ingredients into a delicious and healthy meal. Donor funds are used to cover the associated costs of preparing and serving meals, including purchasing cooking oil and spices, propane for the cooking stove, and paying the salary of the cooks.

The Lunch Program

Pignon Christian Academy employs and empowers several mothers/guardians of our students by hiring them as our cooks. This provides them with much needed income so that they can better care for their families. New cooks are trained each trimester so that we can help multiple families in this way.
